Planning the work
Gas, electrical, and plumbing changes may require separately qualified trades and permits. Those requirements must be established for the specific appliance and location. Do not assume an installation includes changes to utility connections, cabinetry, or ventilation.

Common questions
Will a new appliance fit the old opening?
Not necessarily. Check the manufacturer’s required opening, clearances, ventilation, and door movement. Similar-looking appliances can have different installation requirements.
Does installation include gas or electrical changes?
